What happens if you set AC to 30 deg C ?

Image
Friends, winter season is going on and a lot of people think that what happens if they increase the temperature of the air conditioner such as 25'Deg or 30 deg, Vedio - https://youtu.be/WDVezVt8MBo will our air conditioner work ? or it'll start heating up the room ? the answer is yes and no both , It depends on which type of air conditioner you are using In the market there are generally two types of air conditioners available One is a heat pump and the second one is a cooling only unit. If your ac is cool only then it will only cool and don't work in winter for heating. If you set higher temperatures only the blower will run which will act as a normal fan. And if you have a heat pump type ac then it will start heating the room according to your needs. These units have a special type of valve( generally called 4 way Valve) which reverses the operation of AC, which helps the unit to provide cooling in summer and heating in winter. For more detail on Heat pump - h

MEP Basics

MEP - M echanical E lectrical P lumbing   MEP refer to Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Civil engineering gives shape to building but MEP engineering brings facilities in building so that human can live a comfortable life.   Everything inside a building which makes it safe and comfortable to be incomes under the title building services. HVAC – HEATING VENTILATION & AIR CONDITIONING Heating As name suggest its main purpose is to generate heat which can be achieved by various equipment like heater, boiler, furnace or heat pump to heat water, steam or air in a central location such as a furnace room in a home or a mechanical room in large building. Ventilation It is a process in which air is replaced or exchanged for a particular area to control moisture, odours, smoke, heat, dust airborne bacteria, carbon-di-oxide and maintaining oxygen level. It has two types first one is natural ventilation in which air is exchanged naturally and the second one has forced Ventilation

Ventilation

Topic -Ventilation It is a process in which air is replaced or exchanged for a particular area to control moisture, odours, smoke, heat, dust airborne bacteria, carbon-di-oxide and maintaining oxygen level. It has two types first one is 1)natural ventilation in which air is exchanged naturally, no external machine is used 2) the second one is forced Ventilation (Mechanical Ventilation) in which air is exchanged forcefully by means of fans. Ex. Kitchens exhaust, Basement (car park) exhaust. Types of ventilation Fan mostly used 1) Wall Mounted Propeller fan In this type of fan air flows in parallel to the shaft. A wall-mounted fan is a machine used to create flow within a system, typically a gas like air.  It consists of a rotating arrangement of vanes or blade which act on the fluid. Usually, it is contained within some form of housing or case. This may direct the airflow or increase safety by preventing the object from contacting the fan blades. Mostly these types o

LEED II Consideration in HVAC System Design

What Is Green Building Buildings or homes that are more energy-efficient, produce less waste and are healthier to be inside.  The main aim of the green building concept is to  -Save energy and water  -Reduce waste and reuse.  -Improve health and productivity -Use of material which is environment friendly. -Minimize the use of natural resource during the construction of the building.                        Watch vedio on #LEED HVAC design plays a very important role in getting leed certification. As HVAC is high power consuming service in the building and related to the air quality of indoor which can impact human. In India, multiple agencies are there for green building such as  -BEE (Bureau of energy efficiency) -IGBC ( Indian green building council) -Griha ( Green Rating for Integrated  Habitat Assessment) LEED   -The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) -It is a Green Building Rating System. -It is introduced in 2000. -It Promotes Water saving
