Does celebrating Labor Day have any impact on their lives? On May 1st, we celebrated labour day to honour the contribution of workers in  country’s growth. And their majority of labours employed in construction industry who helps country to build infrastructure, building and homes to support country's growth story. In India construction play very important role in country's economy and provide jobs to millions of people. This industry is highly labour intensive and most of them are unorganized and untrained. Even though Labour Day is still recognized and celebrated across our nation, but it has lost its significance over time and is now just formality. Many construction workers struggle with issues like low pay, long working hours, dangerous working conditions, discrimination, health risks, hygienic accommodation a lack of training, and job insecurity.

What happens if you set AC to 30 deg C ?

Image
Friends, winter season is going on and a lot of people think that what happens if they increase the temperature of the air conditioner such as 25'Deg or 30 deg, Vedio - https://youtu.be/WDVezVt8MBo will our air conditioner work ? or it'll start heating up the room ? the answer is yes and no both , It depends on which type of air conditioner you are using In the market there are generally two types of air conditioners available One is a heat pump and the second one is a cooling only unit. If your ac is cool only then it will only cool and don't work in winter for heating. If you set higher temperatures only the blower will run which will act as a normal fan. And if you have a heat pump type ac then it will start heating the room according to your needs. These units have a special type of valve( generally called 4 way Valve) which reverses the operation of AC, which helps the unit to provide cooling in summer and heating in winter. Ban on Diesel Based Generator in NCR

Image
Ban on Diesel Based Generator in NCR   As the Air pollution increased in NCR region, the NGT banned the use of diesel-powered generators. and it happens every year after Diwali. Because in our country it is easier to ban something than to find a solution to that problem,Finding a permanent solution will take time and here there is a lack of time. The problem lies ahead, Everyone is asking for answers that what is the preparation of the government to deal with it. So, Just like every year, the government brought notification to ban construction activity and use of diesel genset, As it seems that these things do not pollute the whole year and after Diwali they start polluting. Well, there's no point in blaming anyone, As a professional we should look at the solution which is environment friendly and safe to use. We know that ,Diesel generators are used in many places for back power, in some places for full time power supply where electricity is not available and it emits mainly carb

Basics of VAV

Image
VAV - Variable Air Volume  What is VAV? It is a mechanical device which regulates the flow of air in ducts. It generally consists of a blade or plate of different material as per the requirement to restrict the flow. It is used to cut-off the air supplied to any room from the central air handling unit. It can be operated manually or automatically. VAV work with a temperature sensor, It varies airflow at a constant temperature  when the set temperature on the thermostat is acheived automatically it reduces the flow by the closing damper and when temperature increased it open the valve which supplies more air to space to achieve temperature. VAV can be used for a single room or zone. It is available based on air quantity. It is also called an energy-saving device. It can be used for heating and cooling both purposes. Video On VAV  Construction and Working VAV comes in rectangular, oval as well as round form as per requirement. it has two openings on each end one for entry of air and oth

MEP Basics

MEP - M echanical E lectrical P lumbing   MEP refer to Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Civil engineering gives shape to building but MEP engineering brings facilities in building so that human can live a comfortable life.   Everything inside a building which makes it safe and comfortable to be incomes under the title building services. HVAC – HEATING VENTILATION & AIR CONDITIONING Heating As name suggest its main purpose is to generate heat which can be achieved by various equipment like heater, boiler, furnace or heat pump to heat water, steam or air in a central location such as a furnace room in a home or a mechanical room in large building. Ventilation It is a process in which air is replaced or exchanged for a particular area to control moisture, odours, smoke, heat, dust airborne bacteria, carbon-di-oxide and maintaining oxygen level. It has two types first one is natural ventilation in which air is exchanged naturally and the second one has forced Ventilation

Topic -Ventilation It is a process in which air is replaced or exchanged for a particular area to control moisture, odours, smoke, heat, dust airborne bacteria, carbon-di-oxide and maintaining oxygen level. It has two types first one is 1)natural ventilation in which air is exchanged naturally, no external machine is used 2) the second one is forced Ventilation (Mechanical Ventilation) in which air is exchanged forcefully by means of fans. Ex. Kitchens exhaust, Basement (car park) exhaust. Types of ventilation Fan mostly used 1) Wall Mounted Propeller fan In this type of fan air flows in parallel to the shaft. A wall-mounted fan is a machine used to create flow within a system, typically a gas like air.  It consists of a rotating arrangement of vanes or blade which act on the fluid. Usually, it is contained within some form of housing or case. This may direct the airflow or increase safety by preventing the object from contacting the fan blades. Mostly these types o
